Highways service requests map

Highways service requests map

This interactive map provides a detailed overview of customer enquiries received across Bradford from October 2023 to October 2024. The map is designed to offer transparency and insight into the distribution and volume of enquiries, helping users better understand the geographic spread of customer concerns or Highways service requests.

Key features

  • Date range selector: Use the date selector on the left-hand panel to filter enquiries based on a specific time period. You can choose any custom range between October 2023 and October 2024.
  • Location-based insights: Each coloured point on the map represents a customer enquiry, plotted according to its geographic location. Areas with higher concentrations of dots signify regions with more frequent enquiries.
  • Team and ward filtering: Users can also refine their search by selecting a specific team or ward, allowing a closer look at the service distribution and issues in particular regions.
  • Total enquiries: The total number of enquiries within the selected time range is dynamically displayed, giving you an immediate sense of the volume of customer activity.
  • Enquiry categories: Below the map, the Enquiry Categories bar chart provides a breakdown of customer enquiries by type. Categories include:
    • Accident claims
    • Highway maintenance
    • Highway enforcement
    • Network resilience
    • Street lighting
    • Structures
    • Pothole maintenance
    • Street scene gullies
    • Traffic and highways
    • Winter maintenance
  • The graph offers an overview of which services have received the most attention from customers, providing further insight into the community's needs.

With this tool, we aim to provide an easy-to-use platform for tracking and analysing customer interaction across different regions. Whether you are interested in service hotspots or simply curious about trends, the map offers a clear picture of our community's needs over the past year.

We aim to update the map monthly on a rolling basis. For instance, next month, the map will display data from November 2023 to November 2024, ensuring it always reflects the latest 12-month period of customer interactions. This allows for ongoing monitoring and assessment of trends over time.
