A combination of aerobics, circuits and floor exercises for a complete workout

Aerobics, Bums ‘n’ Tums*

Join Janet for a no-nonsense workout that gets results. Suitable for all levels of fitness.

Aquacises (mixed Tuesday, women only on Thursday)*

This is an energetic water based exercise session followed by a soothing swim.

Body Blast

An over body workout including abs. Incorporating kettlebells

Circuit Training*

For men and women. It is safe, effective and multilevel, promoting stamina, strength and endurance. With the use of exertubes, free weights and cardiovascular moves.


Extend is an exercise class to music for the over 60`s and less able people of all ages! A seated/chair supported class incorporating exercises for mobility, strength, stretch, co-ordination, balance and core stability. Tea and coffee available.

Therapy Yoga Class - Iyengar Method - Private Class

A slow controlled Yoga class suitable for those with injury, illness or disability.

Yoga (Iyengar)*

Increases overall feeling of well being, tones up the entire body, lengthens, strengthens, and improves flexibility, core stability, stamina and balance.


Fun class, a fusion of Latin and international music combined with heart pumping cardio workout

New Studio Cycling Classes

In September we will be introducing some new additional studio cycling classes to our fitness programme.

These new sessions will make use of the technology that is integrated into our new bikes and will improve performance. It won’t affect the spin classes we currently offer – only the new classes we are adding to our programme.

To make best use of this new equipment and to help users experience the new classes to their maximum effect, we need to take you through a fitness test. This will establish your own base level of fitness. This level of fitness or ‘score’ will be used to set the bike up to your own fitness level ensuring that you are training in the zone selected.

This may sound complicated, but in effect it takes the guess-work out of your workout. Should you be increasing pace or resistance, the bike will let you know!

For customers who are content with the existing spin sessions, these will continue to be available and will not be making use of the technology.

The following fitness test sessions have been arranged - please note booking is essential and available now. You only need to do one session.

  • Wednesday 23 August - 7pm
  • Thursday 24 August - 8pm
  • Saturday 26 August - 11am
  • Wednesday 30 August - 7pm
  • Thursday 31 August - 8pm
  • Saturday 2 September - 11am

Frequently asked questions

Q. Does everyone have to do the test in order to be able to use the bikes?

A. No – the test is specifically for new classes that will be introduced in September. Anyone using the test will be able to use the results in the existing classes, but it’s not essential.

Q. Do people need to repeat the test?

A. No – the test only needs to be taken once.

Q. What about people who can’t book in to any of the classes shown above?

A. We will be putting on additional classes – these will be confirmed at a later date. If you need a day-time slot or other specific time, please give your details to reception and we will try to accommodate you.

Q. Do you have to be fit already to take the test?

A. Absolutely not – the test simply measures your own level, so a newcomer or a professional cyclist would each get their own score and use this for their workouts.
