Community Building Grants 2025-26 to 2027
Please get in touch with the area office for an application at the email address below.
Voluntary sector organisations can now apply for grants between £5,000 and up to £13,000 to support the running of community buildings, as part of a scheme being opened by Bradford Council which closes for applications on 3 October 2025.
Community buildings across the district are vital for local people, as they deliver a range of services and activities, and offer meeting spaces for community groups. Such buildings can be expensive to run, and the Community Building Grants scheme, which has been successfully operating for a number of years, aims to boost their funding. The money can be used in a number of ways including insurance, building maintenance and towards general running costs.
Bradford Council’s Neighbourhoods and Community Safety Portfolio Holder Councillor Kamran Hussain said: “The cost of running community buildings are high and put pressure on the organisations which deliver much-needed local services to residents across the Bradford district. These buildings are more than bricks and mortar. They become vital hubs, and we recognise how important they are to people. The Council is already supporting our communities in a number of ways, and it is crucial that we continue to support those voluntary sector organisations, which don’t have enough funding to pay the full cost of running their facilities without grant assistance.”
There is £800,000 available through the scheme for 2025-26 and 2026-27 (subject to funds being available in year two) and it is being funded by Bradford Council and the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
