How do I apply to be a New Operator – Multi Fleet or Solo Operator (One Man Band)?

Please visit the link below for a breakdown of the documents you will require as part of your application. Once you have prepared your business case, please submit your application via this link:

A £30 non-refundable application fee is payable at the end of the form. Please ensure all the information you provide is accurate and that the documents submitted are correct to avoid delays to the processing of your application.

Once your application has been received and documents checked, you will be contacted to arrange a New Operator Interview.

How do I Renew by Operator Licence?

You will receive an email approximately 6 weeks before your current licence expires.

Instructions will be included within the email and attachment.

Please do not ignore this email reminder as leaving it until nearer your renewal date may not allow enough time for the service to renew it. If it expires you and your drivers may not be able to work.

When you are ready to submit your renewal application, please ensure that you have the following documentation ready – you will need them to complete the renewal.

  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Proof of Right to Work – if you need further information, please visit the gov.uk Prove Your Right To Work page
  • DBS certificate less than 6 months old – if you are a licensed driver with us you will be able to use the DBS you already have.
  • Tax Conditionality Code – please see our tax conditionality page if you need further information regarding tax conditionality codes

How do I dispose of or transfer my Operator Licence?

To dispose of or transfer your operator licence, please contact the service by emailing taxi.testing@bradford.gov.uk.
