6. Referendum (5 May 2022)
A referendum relating to the adoption of the Oxenhope Neighbourhood Development Plan was on Thursday, 5 May 2022. Those already registered to vote in local elections and living in the Oxenhope area, were eligible to vote in this Referendum.
The question asked in the Referendum was "Do you want City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Oxenhope to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
Referendum result
The results of the referendum held on Thursday, 5 May 2022 were as follows:

Number cast in favour of a Yes | 787 | 82.3% |
Number cast in favour of a No | 169 | 17.7% |

Following the successful referendum, the Council will seek to formally "make" (adopt) the neighbourhood plan as part of the statutory development plan for the District.
