07 Proposed Main Modifications (November 2015)

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council submitted its Core Strategy Publication Draft to the Secretary of State on Friday, 12 December 2014.

The Core Strategy is currently the subject of examination by Planning Inspector Stephen Pratt BA (Hons) MRTPI.

The examination involved a series of public hearings which took place between 4 until 20 March 2015. For more information on the examination please visit the Core Strategy Examination web page.

Since the hearing sessions the Council has:

  • considered selected soundness issues raised by the Inspector and participants at these sessions
  • reviewed the implications of recent changes to national policy, with regard to Affordable Housing Guidance Revocation of Thresholds and the Definition of Gypsy and Travellers, and recent relevant High Court Judgements
  • completed a Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment
  • completed a Habitats Regulations Assessment Review
  • undertaken a public consultation on the proposed Main Modifications. The documents made available at that time are available for reference at the bottom of this page
  • published redacted versions of the duly made representations submitted during this consultation, available via the link below
  • analysed and responded to the issues raised in the duly made representations and included these in the Statement of Consultation, available below
