Bicycle parking
With more and more people cycling in the district Bradford Council has recently introduced additional bike parking in towns and the city centre.
The new bike racks can accommodate 10 bicycles and are located at the following council car parks:
- Westcliffe Road, Shipley
- Shipley Pool
- Exhibition Road, Saltaire
- Ian Clough Hall, Baildon
- Railway Road, Ilkley
- Wharf View, Ilkley
- Cow & Calf Rocks, Ilkley
- Wesley Place, Silsden
- Ferncliffe Road, Bingley
- Queen Street, Bingley
- Bingley Swimming Pool
- Wellington Street, Bingley
- Cooke Street (next to the Town Hall), Keighley
- Church Green, Keighley
- Crown Court, Bradford
- Vicar Lane, Bradford
- Jacobs Well, Bradford
- Sharpe Street, Bradford
- Killinghall Triangle
- Victor Street, Manningham
In addition to the above racks you can also find bike parking at several of the councils parks and there are numerous hoops to secure your bike to located on street often outside shopping and leisure facilities.
Bike lockers
Secure cycle lockers are being installed at locations across Bradford.
You can rent a cycle locker for a year for £50 plus a £20 refundable key deposit. Rental is managed by BikeAway who supply the lockers.
The space saving vertical design of the locker is roomy enough to accommodate most bikes without the need to remove the front wheel. They offer a high level of security and have been awarded the Sold Secure Diamond Standard which is the highest level set for secure cycle storage.
