7. Referendum (27 March 2025)

A referendum relating the adoption of the Wilsden Neighbourhood Development Plan was held on Thursday 27 March 2025. Those already registered to vote in local elections and live in the Wilsden area were eligible to vote in this Referendum.

The question that was asked in Referendum is "Do you want City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Wilsden to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

Referendum Result

The result of the referendum held on Thursday 27 March 2025 was as follows:

Number cast in favour of a Yes 826 88%
Number cast in favour of a No 111 12%

Further details on the result can be found on the Council’s elections webpages.Following the successful referendum, the Council will formally “make” (adopt) the neighbourhood plan as part of the statutory development plan for the District.

Voting information (Voter ID)
