Call for sites
Regulation 19 Call for Sites closed 31 March 2024
The council has formally closed the Regulation 19 Call for Sites, this is to allow the council sufficient time to undertake technical assessments of the submitted site options in accordance with the timeline in the Local Development Scheme.
Any site that is submitted from 1 April 2024 onwards but in advance of the Examination of the Local Plan will be stored and sent to the Inspector upon their request.
Previous Call for Sites information
Alongside the Regulation 18 consultation on the Draft Bradford District Local Plan, the Council carried out a Call for Sites (CFS) consultation. Sites were also suggested through several representations. The sites submitted (with refSS/xx) from both consultations are now available on an interactive map.
The Council received 209 sites (53 CFS submissions and 156 via representations), of which 77 were new sites. There were also 6 sites submitted illustrating an amendment to a preferred allocation which includes a new site/land. These have not previously been assessed. 116 sites were previously assessed and were previously rejected, although some have been re-submitted with alternative boundaries. 64 sites were suggested without submitting a boundary and further correspondence may be required.
IMPORTANT - The submission of a call for sites option does not mean that that it will automatically become a draft site allocation. Submitted CFS are also afforded no specific additional weighting as a material consideration in the determination planning applications. Submitted call for sites information will be evaluated and if necessary further technical work undertaken to consider whether sites are appropriate for allocation.
