Allocations DPD

As of mid-2020, the Council is preparing a single Local Plan which includes work undertaken to date on the Core Strategy Partial Review and land allocations. For further information please see the Local Plan webpage.

Introduction

The Allocations DPD is an important document. It will allocate land to meet the District’s needs over the plan period to 2037 for new homes and specialist accommodation, sites for business and industry, and sites for infrastructure and community uses such as schools and road improvements. It will also identify which green and open spaces will be protected and enhanced.

Which areas does it cover?

The Allocations DPD will cover all parts of the District except those covered by Area Action Plans. There are currently two adopted Area Action Plans covering Bradford City Centre and the Shipley and Canal Road Corridor.
