The Secret Book Quest

Welcome to The Secret Book Quest!

The Secret Book Quest is an exciting new, year-round reading adventure for children aged 5 and up.

Join Pip, Zena and Libro the cat on a unique reading adventure through 10 themed worlds, including animals, underwater, space and technology, beautifully illustrated by Emily Fox.

To complete the Quest, read five books of your own choice for each zone and collect all the code-stickers along the way – a total of 50 books. The final sticker is the missing piece that enables you to decipher a secret code and complete the challenge!

There is no rush to complete the challenge and any type of book counts – poetry, fiction, comic books and more. Complete the quest at your own pace, reading books you love.

How to take part

To sign up for free, simply visit your local library and speak to a member of staff.

You will receive your very own Secret Book Quest journal packed full of puzzles, fun facts and activities and the first sticker in your collection.

Get a certificate when you reach halfway (25 books) and another when you finish (50 books), along with a finisher’s prize.
