How to pay online

Before you start make sure that you have your penalty notice (PN) number.

If you have any difficulties accessing or making a payment using the online system we advise you to try again as faults are quickly resolved.

Direct payment to the Council should not be made. Payments for dropping litter and dog fouling should be paid to WISE.

How much do I have to pay?

Dropping litter or dog fouling is charged at £100.

The longer you wait before you pay the penalty charge, the more it will cost you.

If you pay within 14 days

If you pay your penalty within 14 days the charge will be reduced to £80.

If you pay within 28 days

After 14 days, you will have to pay the full charge.

What will happen if I don't pay?

We may take legal action against you which can involve using Enforcement Agents to recover unpaid penalty charges and there will be further costs to pay.

If an offender is prosecuted through the courts the maximum fine for littering can be up to a maximum of £2,500 and you may be faced with a conviction.

This will add further costs.
