Base Checks
The Licensing Terms and Conditions require you, as operators, to keep records of Licensed Operator Base Checks.
In order to help you do this we have attached two Checklist Documents which you may find useful in making sure that all checks are made and recorded accurately.

You may use the attached documents as they are, or you may prefer to use them as a guide to producing your own checklist documents.
Whichever documents you prefer to use you must ensure that they are completed on time and retained to help you provide evidence that you are able to pass the Licensed Operator Base Checks.
You may also need to provide proof of the following:
- Employee Liability Insurance
- Base radio licence
- Register of employees
- Vehicle and Driver schedule
A base check will be completed at the base with the Licensed Operator who must be in attendance by the inspection and compliance team who will be there to support and assist. You may be subject to random base checks.
Licensed operators who have a 5-year licence will still be subject to yearly base checks.
