Lithium batteries
Why it matters

These batteries can be harmful if they are not thrown away properly.
The risks

- these chemicals can build up in animals and people
- they can catch fire or even explode
What to do
Do not put lithium batteries in your bin at home.
Take them to:
- a Household Waste Recycling Centre
- an electrical shop
- a supermarket that accepts batteries
