
Getting rid of electrical items
You can recycle electrical items by taking them to a Household Waste Recycling Centre. If you can’t move big electrical items yourself, you can book a collection.
We work with a company that collects and recycles large electrical items. They try to reuse, fix, or recycle them.

Important rules
- Remove personal data from electronics before collection.
- Fridges/freezers must have doors – they won’t take them without.
- You can add small items (like microwaves or vacuum cleaners) with large ones.
- Put items outside at the front of your home by 7am on collection day.
- They won’t collect from the back, inside, or upstairs.
- This service is for homes only, not businesses.
Before collection
Make sure:
- items are dry and easy to reach
- doors and wires are taped up
- gates are unlocked
They won’t go inside homes, sheds, or garages.
How to pay
- You must pay before collection
- Crews can’t take payment on the day
Collection times
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm
