What Happens Next

Following the conclusion of the consultation period on 18 March, all representations received have been logged and collated, and will be submitted together with the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents for an independent examination by a suitably qualified, and independent person, known as an examiner.

The independent examiner will assess whether the neighbourhood plan meets the Basic Conditions (set out in law) and other legislative requirements. The Examination page will set out more details about the independent examination. They will determine whether the Plan proceeds (with or without modifications) to a local referendum. The referendum will be arranged by the Council's Electoral Services team, at a date to be arranged.
