Eccleshill Library

Eccleshill is one of several libraries refurbished with grant funding from Arts Council England’s Libraries Improvement Fund. The funding was provided to enable libraries across the district to introduce more flexible and improved meeting and event spaces.

Both the adults and children’s areas have been fully refurbished as has the first-floor meeting room, and there is a new small meeting room on the ground floor. The shelving is now on wheels so can be moved aside to create a large event space on the ground floor.

The funding has also enabled the introduction of accessible facilities including a new entrance at the rear of the library and a new public accessible toilet on the ground floor.
