National Year of Reading 2026
Bradford is taking part in the National Year of Reading 2026, a UK-wide campaign to encourage more people to read.
Led by the National Literacy Trust and The Reading Agency, the campaign aims to make reading a normal and enjoyable part of everyday life.
Go All In
Reading is not just books. It can include anything that interests you, such as recipes, match reports, blogs or reading with your children.
The message is simple: if you’re into it, read into it.
In Bradford
Bradford Libraries and partners will run activities throughout 2026 to help more people enjoy reading.
This will include events, reading groups and family activities in libraries and community venues.
