Bookstart Packs for Toddlers and Pre-schoolers

Bookstart Toddler and Pre-schooler packs are, designed to make reading a fun and rewarding activity to do as a family. Bookstart Toddler packs are aimed at 1-2 year-olds and Bookstart Pre-schooler packs are aimed at 3-4 year-olds.

Each pack contains two books, along with activities and games you can do to bring the book to life. You can find more ideas for using your pack below, as well as downloadable and printable versions of the pack resources.

These packs are not available to all families and are targeted towards families most in need.

Bradford Libraries are working in conjunction with various local partners to deliver these packs across the district.

Library membership

If your child is not already a library member please go to your local library with some ID, and they will receive their own library card.

There are no fines on books if they are returned late.

There are also Story and rhyme times in all our libraries, which are free, fun and an opportunity to meet other parents.

If a picture book with dual text, English and one of 36 languages, would be helpful, please ask at your local library.

Families, who have not received a pack through the Register Service, that would like to collect a Bookstart Baby Pack, should check our list of libraries for contact details and further information about their local library service.
