Report a change or ask a question about your Council Tax
You must tell us about any change that may affect your Council Tax, so we can make sure that your bill is correct. Changes you need to report to us include:
- Moving house - tell us if you are moving in/out or selling/buying a property in the Bradford district
- Change of name – tell us if you have changed your name by deed poll or because you are now married
- Apply for or cancel a Single Person Discount
- Report the death of a resident or owner of a property
- Landlords and managing agents can also report a tenant moving in or out
- Report any other change or ask a question about your Council Tax
You can ask a question about your bill using our online form. Tell us about your query, and we’ll direct you to the contact form that best suits your needs. Most information can be found on our website, and using the online forms makes it quicker and easier to get the help you need.
Do not tell us about a change more than 14 days in advance, as dates might alter.
If you get Council Tax Reduction, you need to report your change separately to the benefits team as well.
