Interventions
Bradford Youth Justice Service (YJS) co-ordinates and delivers a wide range of interventions to children who have committed or are at risk of committing a crime.
The completion of an out of court disposal and/or a court order involves a diverse range of initiatives, which support children to build pro-social identities and divert them away from the criminal justice system.
Supporting a child to complete an intervention requires a strong multi-agency approach. Our partners include but are not limited to, Children’s Social Care, Police, Health, Education, Probation, Speech and Language, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Training and Employment providers, Breaking the Cycle (supporting children at risk of exploitation), Youth Service and Bridge 180 (drug and alcohol service). We look to ensure our work with children is bespoken and meets individual need and circumstance.
For more information about the type of disposals and court orders children are made subject to please visit the Youth Justice Board web site.
