Support for families and young people
Where can I find support?
The fyi website offers advice, information and signposting to children, young people and families within the Bradford district. It also holds pages of information aimed at practitioners (people who work with families and young people). It offers the latest accessibility tools and user-friendly features.
What can I find on fyi?
On the site, you’ll find information and advice pages for all aspects of family life:
- Help and advice from pregnancy to young adults. We have information for parents and carers organised by the age of the child or young person.
- Information and advice on money matters, mental health and wellbeing, staying healthy, relationships, childcare and free funding, staying safe, jobs/careers and training, all with links to relevant services.
- Information about the Family Hubs across the district including locations, facilities, support available and a timetable of events.
- Parenting programmes – information on Bradford’s free award winning parenting courses which are available across the district. Read some of the amazing feedback from parents/cares who have attended. Whether you’re a parent/carer or a practitioner, you can apply for a place on a programme using a simple and secure online form.
- Services directory – find both local and national support services that can support you/or a family you are working with.
- A ‘What’s On’ guide - find relevant activities and events happening in your local area. If you know about an event or activity that isn’t listed, tell us about it by using our simple ‘add an event’ form.
- Practitioners area and forum – if you work with young people and families, visit our practitioners area for information on Prevention and Early Help, resources for working with children and families, key contacts and support information. Our forum is a free resource where news, service updates, changes in practice, collaborative working and more can be shared.
Whether you are a child or young person, a parent or carer, or are a professional who works with families and young people, you can find advice and information by visiting Bradford’s fyi website.
