Grants

Thank you for your interest in the clean air vehicle grants schemes.

Due to unprecedented demand, all our clean air vehicle grants schemes are now closed to new applications.

If you have made a grant application, please do not upgrade/replace your vehicle until an offer of a grant is confirmed. Even if you meet the eligibility criteria, there may not be funds remaining to offer you a grant.

Applications are being processed in date order of receipt. Once all remaining funds are allocated, all other applications will be held on a waiting list or rejected.

Eligibility for grants

The grant application window is now open to support the replacement or retrofit of non-compliant vehicles to clean air zone standards and to assist with the ongoing running costs of electric vehicles.

Grants will be available to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), Sole Traders/self-employed, education establishments and charities registered within the Bradford Metropolitan District.

Grants will not apply to businesses with more than 250 staff (other SME criteria may also apply).

Bradford District residents can now also apply for a grant to upgrade non-compliant vans, motor caravans or minibuses.

The funding is available to all Bradford residents, even if you have an exemption, to upgrade vehicles to meet the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) standards. Find out more on the residents grants page.

You can find information on the open grants:

All schemes which have funding available are currently open for applications.

Warning

Due to high demand for our grant schemes, funds are now running low. Applications can still be made however, once all funding has been allocated, applications will be held on a waiting list and will only be considered when funding is available or could be rejected.

Grant funding cannot be applied retrospectively. Therefore, if you intend to apply for a grant or exemption, please wait to hear the outcome of your application before making any purchase decisions.
