From 1 April 2024, three Household Waste Recycling Centres were permanently closed - Ford Hill HWRC, Queensbury, Golden Butts HWRC, Ilkley and Sugden End HWRC, Keighley. The sites were chosen as they are the least used of all the HWRCs in the district.
Of the five remaining HWRCs only two are open are open on a Monday from 8am to 4.45pm - Bowling Back Lane HWRC, Bradford and Royd Ings HWRC, Keighley.
