Feedback and complaints about your Social Housing
Most of the social housing properties in the Bradford District are owned by Registered Housing Providers and Housing Associations which function separately to the Council. If you wish to make a complaint about your Social Housing, please contact your Housing Provider.
Council Owned Housing Stock
The Council holds a small number of social housing stock.
Our contracted Registered Housing Providers manage these properties and carry out the landlord duties on the Council’s behalf.
If you are a tenant of a Council owned property and you wish to raise a complaint, in the first instance please contact the social housing provider that manages your property, for example, Incommunities.
The Council works closely with our contracted social housing providers and expects complaint to be addressed in line with the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code.

Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code Self-Assessment
From 31, December 2020 all Housing Associations and Registered Providers have been asked to self-assess against the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.
The handling of complaints about properties that the Council own are included in our contracted Registered Providers’ annual self-assessments.
