Dog fouling
Dog fouling is very unpleasant. When pet owners allow their dogs to foul, the resultant mess can end up on shoes and clothing, wheelchairs, bicycles, prams and toys.
It spoils other people's enjoyment of their neighbourhoods and public places. Dog fouling causes diseases such as Toxocariasis. This is a parasitic infection that most commonly affects children, and may cause stomach pains, fever and even blindness.
People who allow their dogs to foul could be issued with a £80 fixed penalty notice or prosecuted and fined up to £1000 with a criminal record.
