Acupuncture, Ear-piercing, Electrolysis and Tattooing
If you run an establishment the following treatments you must register:
- acupuncture
- tattooing
- ear piercing
- electric treatments such as electrolysis
Applications are made to Bradford Council and will be subject to a fee.
Registrations are subject to compliance with the appropriate byelaws.
As part of your application an assessment will be carried out of your premises or activities.
You must provide any requested information in your application.
Am I eligible to apply?
You may be refused registration if:
- you have been convicted of an offence under specified acts or you are deemed unsuitable
- the premises you intend to use are unsuitable (please refer to the relevant byelaws)
- you don't have staff with adequate professional or technical experience
- your business is being carried out in contravention of any local Act or Byelaw
Will tacit consent apply?
No. It is in the public interest that we must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from us within a reasonable period, please contact us. You can do this online or use the contact details on this page.
How to apply
To apply for registration please download the application form (Word, 47 Kb) and submit this to eh.admin@bradford.gov.uk.
Upon receipt of your completed form we will send you an email with a unique reference number for your application and a link to our payment page where you can pay your application fee online with a debit or credit card.
Your application will not be processed until we receive the application form and full payment.
