Busy swims

During busy swims, customers will be limited to a maximum of an hour swim. A band system will be in place.

Facilities

Bowling Swimming Pool and Gym has been specifically designed to provide improved facilities for our users with impaired mobility. It has ramp access into the pool, and the water is heated to 32.5ºC to provide extra comfort.

Bowling also has two Changing Places and disabled parking bays.

Classes

If you are attending a class, please arrive at least 5 to 10 minutes before the class is due to start. This helps to allow time to set up the equipment and for a safety briefing if required.

If you are unable to attend your class please cancel as soon as possible.

We have a range of memberships available. Our Premium membership allows you to use any facility including classes and swim sessions. The membership is available on a non-contract basis payable by monthly direct debit.

Premium  £29.95 per month. Ready to commit? Pay for a full year and receive 2 months free of charge. £299.50.

Our Active membership is available for Bradford Leisure Card holders, young people aged 16 or 17 as well as those aged 60+.

Monthly fees are £23.95 paid by direct debit or a 12 month membership for £239.50.

Swimming

Please follow our Swimmers Code of Conduct and Children in Swimming Pools  - under 8s policy.

Our children in swimming pool policy applies in all swim for all, family swim and parent and under 5 sessions.

Children under 4: 1 adult to 1 child.

Children ages 4 to 7: 1 adult to 2 children.

Aged 8 and above: children can go in on their own.

Family swim sessions: no unaccompanied adults or unaccompanied children will be admitted.  

Adult lane swims: customers must be able to swim.

Sessions explained

• Adult only lane swim: adults only (16+) lane swimming. Swimmers only.
• Adult only swim (12pm-1pm): adults only (16+) half laned, half open swimming.
• Family swim: this session is for families only to swim. Unaccompanied adults and children will not be admitted.
• Men and Boys swim: This session will be staffed with male and female lifeguards.
• Pool parties: balls and floats. 1 hour in pool only.  Booking required. Please ask us for more information.
• Swim for all: a general swim in an open environment for all swimmers.
• Steady swim: there are no lanes. The swim is generally at a slower, more relaxed pace. Suitable for those with additional needs. Adults only (16+).
• Toddler Splash: this is a play session to help introduce under 5’s to swimming. Toys available.
• Women’s Family Swim: this session is for families (women and children) only to swim. Unaccompanied adults and children will not be admitted. Boys 7 years and under only. Staffed with male and female lifeguards.
• Women only swim (laned): lane swimming. This swim will be staffed with male and female lifeguards. Swimmers only. Adults only (16+).
• Women only steady swim: there are no lanes. This swim is aimed more to those that want a women only swim but can’t attend the lane swims. Adults only (16+).
