Trade waste

Bradford Council Trade Waste Service provide a comprehensive waste service to the businesses of Bradford and the surrounding district.

As a licensed waste carrier, we offer safe storage, transportation and disposal of your waste in compliance with the terms of the Environmental Protection Act.

  • Comprehensive range of waste disposal systems - with wheeled bins in a choice of four sizes (240, 360, 660 and 1100 litre) we’re sure to have one to suit your requirements

  • Weekly collections for the 240L or 360L wheeled bins

Trade waste services and containers

Our aim is to provide you with a first class service with administrative support to allow you to get on with running your business successfully.

Do

  • place your bin in a safe and accessible location for collection on the designated day of collection
  • contain your waste responsibly within the waste container

Don’t

  • burn waste within the container
  • allow graffiti or non authorised signage to be placed on the waste container

Contractual information

It is important that you read the terms and conditions at the rear of the contract.

All Bradford Council trade waste contracts are rolling contracts. Prices are reviewed and automatically renewed annually on 31 March.

The contract will continue until such time you notify the Council in writing, allowing for one month's notice in writing.

All cancelled contracts will be subject to an administration charge which is currently £45.

It is important that you contact the trade waste section immediately in writing should a change of ownership or cancellation occur.

Damaged bins

Bradford Council will repair any bin on contract damaged wholly by ourselves free of charge, but will charge you the customer if the damaged by yourselves or a third party.

Lost or stolen or damaged bins will be the responsibility of the trader and replacements will be charged for at the appropriate rate.

Duty of Care

A Duty of Care notice will be issued at contract inception. The council will retain a master copy for its records. Customers should retain their own copy for inspection if required by the relevant authorities.

Government policy no longer requires the annual reissue of a Duty of Care notice.

Our bins are designed for long life use and are manufactured to extremely high standards. We offer:

  • Selection of sizes to suit your needs (240, 360, 660 or 1100 litre)

  • Hygienic, lockable, easy to clean containers.
